IP Specialist Position Description
-Assist with preparing and filing patent-related documents with the United States Patent and Trademark Office, including New Patent Applications, Amendments, Official Filing Receipts – OFR, Letters Patent, and Information Disclosure Statements – IDS.
-Proofread, edit and type client correspondence.
-Assist with maintaining daily docket for upcoming and current due dates.
-Perform legal research.
-Maintain client portfolio(s) to ensure statutory deadlines are met.
-Perform all facets of related support to assist the Patent Prosecution Specialists.
IP Specialist Qualifications Summary
-Minimum one year new applications, formalities or general patent prosecution experience.
-Proficiency in MS Office Suite.
-IPDAS or Patricia experience desired.
-Bachelor’s Degree or paralegal certificate a plus.
-Excellent, spelling, grammar, proofreading and editing skills.
-Highly organized with strong attention to detail.
-Exceptional communication skills to interact with attorneys and clients.
